There has been a lot of discussion on how often you should change your engine oil and filter. Many manufacturers are now suggesting intervals of up to 10,000 miles. Newer vehicles equipped with Oil Life Monitors are taking the place of mileage recommendations. But all too often we are seeing vehicles run to 0-10% oil life and the oil is in very poor condition. Many owners have less than typical driving habits and should change their oil and filter more often.  If you have any of the following driving habits:

Idling extensively or driving at low speeds for long distances
   Towing or carrying heavy loads
   Driving in dusty conditions
   Driving off-road frequently
Using E85 fuel more than 50% of the time
Driving regularly on rugged terrain or in unfavorable conditions

Please consider changing your oil and filter more often to extend the life of your engine:

2010 and older model-year vehicles: every 3,000 miles or every three months, whichever comes first
2011 and newer model-year vehicles: every 5,000 miles or every six months, whichever comes first

We are happy to talk with you about your driving habits and determine an oil change interval that works for you and your vehicle.
